What follows is example of our interview process for yuku developers, if you think you can do it, apply by messaging me :)

Step 1. Screening/elimination interview

As part of screening interview we ask you to accomplish few simple tests and show us your abilities. If you didgreat and impressed interviewer, we will call you for a second interview. If not, well, you will see... Please note that tie and white shirt are not optional.Here is an example of what those simple tests might look like:

Step 2. Second interview

Now if you do get a second call from our HR department and with that a second interview, we will increase the height of a testa bit. It is our simulation of developer meeting deadline estimated by marketing people without having specs or QA support. It does last bit longer then firstinterview - usually we will ask you to devote whole day to it. This is what that looks like, you will be watching Oleg (our JavaScript developer) at the timehe passed the second round. Pay close attention to little hidden messages, you will be asked about them later in the process.

Step 3. Top 10 elimination

As you have seen, not everybody gets a pass score on the second interview, and some people stay behind. But those that domake it, get into what we call the top 10 group. At that point Dan, our senior Linux kernel developer (that is taking easy time these days,but still participate in interviewing process) takes them through just a small formality. If you are being interviewed during winter period you can ignore,"over the river test" scene (our way to test ability to debug OO code), however other tests are required regardless of the season. Step 4. Sternness test

It goes without saying that step 3. usually eliminates 7 and leaves us with top 3 candidates, literally. But we still need tonarrow list down to one. Since, during our meetings and crucial decisions making processes we require total focus and uncompromising attitude we test you forserious dialog ability. This is example of candidate that failed our last test, although he was showing very promising results in first 3 steps.

We admit, it is a bit challenging interview process, but it does come with THE Reward. What you will see next is what does typical developer's working week in the Yuku looks like. Guy on the right without mustache and umbrella is called Jack. Jack is our project manager and is carrying huge responsibility of setting priorities and assigning tasks to our team members. Watch carefully, since it will not be explained to you twice.
